Reclaimed oak parquet floor installation & refinishing - London and Surrey

These charming old blocks arrived from a school in Scotland. Our experience and advice to customers is that they should familiarize themselves with the variation in colour and character in the batch of reclaimed antique flooring they will be installing and refinishing.

The fitting of reclaimed parquet in herringbone pattern does take longer than with new wood blocks because of the need to proceed with more thought when selecting the blocks. This time we use light drum sanding 60 & 100 grit before buffing, screening and sealing. To add extra depth and rustic visual, we prime these blocks by Shellac. Character grade oak parquet floor is perfect for country homes and homeowners looking for an unique alternative to very clean looking traditional floors.
